Miami, FL — MS/BS AI & CS @ FIU

I'm a first-generation Cuban-American born and raised in Miami, Florida. I am driven by a pursuit of being the most disciplined and focused person I can be.

What has drawn me into this field is how intelligence is both an art and a science that carries real complexity. I have become obsessed with understanding how it is currently modeled and how we can extend it even further. Right now, my focuses lie at the intersection of reasoning, multi-agent systems, alternative efficient architectures, and the hardware that makes it all possible.

Truthfully, Computer Science wasn't always the plan. I honestly kind of just fell into it. My first year of college I was excelling in classes but never really pushing further. Then one day, I walked into a classroom where some really smart guys were teaching about AI (the AI Guild!!). The math left me completely confused, but something about it lit a fire in me. From that point forward, there was no looking back. I'm home now, and I lead the AI Guild.

My hobbies outside of work span a few tightly knit domains. I have aspirations to be an elite Calisthenics athlete, which is one of my dreams (still grasping the discipline for this one). Alongside this, I am a huge fan of MMA, and you can most likely find me watching some kind of fighting sport on a Saturday night.
